Camping Mountain Saucer Plate
This plate features a camping scene surrounded by the mountains
Each plate is first thrown on a potter's wheel. I then sketch with a pencil my design before I carve into the clay. It is then placed into its first firing after it is completely dry. Once out of the bisque firing, I fill in the carvings with a black glaze to highlight the detail. I then use needle bottles to "paint" the scene with glazes. Last step, it is placed back into the kiln for the final glaze firing to Cone 6. Each piece I make is an original ,no two are exactly the same!
